Caravans in the Sun is happy to present our latest park in the Provence region in the South East of France – set in a wooded park, less than 40 minutes from both Nice and Cannes airports, less than 5 minutes’ drive from the nearest village and just 15 minutes from the luscious blue water of the Mediterranean coastline of the Cote d’Azur.
The park has a swimming pool open from May to September, restaurant and bar open from June to September, a shop with fresh bread daily (June – September), laundrette and play areas with a kids’ club in July and August. The local bus stops at the entrance to the park and the nearby village has banks, butchers, bakers, restaurants, bars and supermarkets – the local fresh produce market is held on Fridays. The village is surrounded by vineyards and local artisan crafts include the making and selling of “santons” – small expertly hand crafted figurines depicting the lives of those who lived and worked in the local area at the time of the French Revolution. The nearby Chocolate Museum is well worth a visit – it belongs to a local master chocolatier – who continues the local tradition of producing nougat and a delicious range of speciality chocolates! Within 10km of the park there is a choice of daily and weekly markets and the nearby water park is the largest on the Cote d’Azur with opportunities for fishing, diving, walking, horse riding and golf nearby.
Archaeologists will enjoy the history of nearby St Raphael – one of the oldest resorts on the coast – there is evidence that wealthy Romans used to pass their summers here 2000 years ago – there are also traces of both pre-historic and Ancient Greek occupation in the area. Standing in the shadow of the rugged Massif de l’Estrel – St Raphael has a variety of beaches where swimming is safe and snorkelling and diving are very popular pastimes. The ancient military port and Roman city of Fréjus contains a medieval city as well as being a seaside resort – the many monuments include one of the largest amphitheatres from Gallic times.
The legendary seaside resort of Cannes is just a 45 minute away – the town sparkles with glamour and exclusivity with private beaches and marinas filled with luxury yachts. The famous film festival is held in May draws movie stars and film makers from all over the world as well as crowds of fans and journalists. The medieval city of Grasse and the perfume capital of Europe is just 20km from Cannes – with three perfume factories offer daily tours. St Tropez – the playground of international socialites and the most famous resort in Europe is just a 40km drive away – the town’s namesake cake, (La Tarte Tropezienne), is a must and rarely found beyond surrounding villages. Two sugar-crusted brioche, sandwiching a creamy custard layer, the St-Tropez specialty supposedly got its name from Brigitte Bardot, who suggested it to baker Alexandre Micka while filming “And God Created Woman” on the nearby beaches.

You may keep your mobile home on the park for up to 20 years.
9) Can I sell or rent my mobile home if required?
Yes, we can advertise your mobile home for sale on our website, please click here to view our mobile home resale service. Subletting is permitted but there is no onsite letting service.
10) What facilities are available on site?
The park has a swimming pool (open May – September), bar (open June – September), restaurant (open June – September), shop with fresh bread daily, laundrette, children’s play area, children’s club July and August and pétanque.

12) Would I need to hire a car whilst over there?
We do encourage customers to drive in France as sections are very rural, however, the local bus stops at the park entrance and the nearest train station is 10km from the park and shuttle services to Nice airport, beaches, train stations etc. are available from 1st April – 31st October for a charge.
13) How far are the nearest golf courses and beaches situated?
The nearest beach is 10 km from the park and the nearest golf course is 5 km away.
14) How far is the site from the nearest airport?
The park is less than 40 minutes from Nice airport and Cannes airport.
15) What is the weather like?
The climate is mild and sunny – the warmest months are June through to August when average highs reach above 25ºC – summer is also the driest time of the year when only a handful of days see some rain. During the winter (December, January and February), average highs hover around a mild 10ºC and these are the wettest months.
16) Are pets allowed on site?
Pets are allowed (fee of 2.60€ per day or 75€ per annum).
17) How long is the site open for and how long can I stay here for?.
The park is open 12 months of the year – you can stay up to a maximum of 300 days per year.
18) Does all work on plots have to be done by site owners?
Terraces are supplied by the park, the site also sells and installs sheds for 1300€.
Viewing Mobile Homes in France, Var, Côte d’Azur – Fréjus
We have 2 options available on this mobile home park. Option 1 – 2 nights accommodation in a local hotel with a tour of the park, the viewing of mobile homes (where available), tour of local area and possible collection from Nice airport. Alternatively, option 2 – you can make an appointment to be shown around the park and the homes available during a day visit.
Option 1 – Your viewing trip starts when you meet up with our customer service team at Nice airport or at your hotel in Fréjus where you can check-in and make the arrangements to view the park and the local area the following day. You will now be able to relax for the rest of the day/evening. If required our team can inform you of the local area, the location of amenities, restaurants and answer any initial questions you may have.
The next day they will show you around the site and answer any further questions you may have. You may then want to explore the surrounding towns and villages, take a drive around the local area or visit some of the local attractions. If you would like to take a drive and explore yourself then our team will always be on hand for advice, directions and any other information you may require.
That night you get to relax in your hotel again before heading back to the airport for your return flight home. You may wish to return to the park the following day for a final look before flying back, this is fine and our team will be available to take you back for a second look.
Option 2 – You contact our office with your planned travel arrangements and day of arrival with an approximate time for when you would like to view the park. We then make the arrangement for you to come and view the park and homes (where applicable). Unfortunately an appointment is necessary to view the park as this is a residential style community and we like to keep disruption to home owners to a minimum. We do not employ high pressure sales teams and at no time during the visit will you be under any pressure or obligation to purchase. We believe that the product, once seen sells itself and if you are interested, you will contact us to complete the purchase. We will then ensure that you are given our full assistance and guide you through your purchase if required.
If required our team can inform you of the local area, the location of amenities, restaurants etc. and answer any initial questions you may have, we can also recommend a local hotel if you wish to stay local to the park for a couple of nights.
Your travel arrangements are booked in conjunction with our UK office subject to availability. This will be coordinated with our customer service team in France. We can give friendly advice and help about where and how to book your ferries / flights and car hire if required; we will arrange and reserve your accommodation. Please note: Brand new mobile homes are not already sited on the mobile home park, these models must be viewed in the UK either prior to, or after your park visit. Please call us if you are interested in viewing a new mobile home, we will locate your requested make/model of home on a showground in the UK, trying to provide a location as close to you as we possibly can. Any resale mobile homes we may have listed on the website are situated on the park and will be available to view with your appointment.
Viewing trip costs will be refunded up to a maximum of £150 if you proceed to purchase. Your accommodation invoice, flight receipt or ferry receipt will be required for the credit adjustment and will be shown as a credit on your final invoice. The cost is not redeemable in conjunction with any other special offer, price reduction, discounts or promotions.
