With new and resale mobile homes available to purchase on this residential mobile home park in Spain, set in a fertile valley near Antequera and a short 45 minute drive from Málaga in sunny Southern Spain. This well presented residential mobile home park (Saydo Park) has tarmac roads and street lighting, every generously sized mobile home plot includes its own parking space, owners can use the park as their permanent resident address.
The park is open 12 months of the year and facilities include a large outdoor swimming pool for summer use and a solar heated indoor swimming pool for the winter. There is also a brand new bowling green and the adjoining hotel has a bar, restaurant and function room. A high percentage of residents have made this park their home and various trips and activities are arranged by the legal and registered park Residents’ Association. The park has a bus stop and is located on the outskirts of a village which has the convenience of a bank with English speaking staff, supermarkets, a daily fresh fish market, bakery and butchers and fishing, walking, cycling, water skiing, diving and horse riding facilities are nearby.
There are four weekly markets within a 30 minute drive and the park is just a 15 minute drive from the ancient town of Antequera – steeped in history and now a modern cosmopolitan town with restaurants and street bars, a golf course, excellent shopping facilities and art and history museums. The countryside around Antequera is breathtaking – beautiful white sand beaches are just a 40 minute drive away and there is a huge choice of places to visit in the area. Torremolinos and Fuengirola with their water parks are within easy reach as are the Tívoli amusement park in Benalmádena and the opportunity of a cable car trip to the top of Mijas Mountains. 2) What does a viewing trip include?

3) How much deposit is required?
10% deposit secures your mobile home. For special offers the remaining balance is due 28 days from invoice date.

4) Do I lose my deposit?
Your deposit will be refunded in full once we have re-sold your reserved mobile home and/or plot, less any expenses that may be incurred by ourselves.
5) What is included in the price?
Furnished mobile home sited and connected on to your own plot.
5a) Are there any additional fees to pay
For new owners there is a one off additional charge of 206.91€ payable upon handover for new water meter.
Compulsory ground rent fees: –
Selection of smaller plots (Approx 100m²+) = 2,635.23€ annually
Single plots (approx 200 m²) = 4,599.73€ annually
Double unit plots = 5,221€ annually
6) What are the running costs (At time of writing March 2016)?
Ground rent fee: from 2,635.23€ – 5,221€ – per year
Electricity: 27 cents per unit, minimum charge 10€ a month. There is no standing charge but there is a minimum charge of 10€ per month.
Water is metered – 7.21 € standing charge every 2 months, usage 28 cents for 1,000 litres of fresh water and sewage.
Gas is bottled and delivered by a local supplier
Internet (fibre optic) cost is 20€ per month for 15Mb
7) What are the plot sizes?
Single plots are approximately 200 m² in size
Double unit plots are approximately 300m²+ in size
8) How long can I keep my mobile home on site for?
As long as required, condition of mobile home and plot must be well maintained.
9) Can I sell or rent my mobile home if required?
Yes, we can advertise your mobile home for sale on our website, please click here to view our mobile home resale service. Subletting is NOT permitted, this is a residential site.
10) What facilities are available on site?
The park has a large outdoor swimming pool and pool bar (seasonal), a solar heated indoor swimming pool, a new bowling green, petanque and a restaurant and bar in adjoining hotel. Approximately 70% of the residents live on the park and various trips and activities are arranged by the park’s Residents’ Association (which is fully legal and registered by the Spanish courts).
11) What facilities are nearby?
Located in the village are banks, a co-op, a Día supermarket, a fresh fish market, a butcher, fruit and vegetable shops, bakeries, auto mechanics, a gym and numerous other businesses. There is an English food shop, “The Village Shop”, and an English bookshop. Antequera which has larger shopping facilities including the very popular Mercadona chain of supermarkets that provides an excellent price/quality relationship on all basic foodstuffs. Antequera is also home to a Lidl and Aldi supermarket, an Eroski super store, numerous banks, clothing shops and a wide variety of other services. Activities like organised excursions, water sports – including kite surfing, jet ski and water ski, golf courses, go karting, horse riding. Fine dining – Spanish, British and international cuisine, shopping centers, art and history museums, English theater in Fuengirola, Marbella and San Pedro de Alcántara, medical resorts and spas, casinos in Benalmádena and Marbella, symphony and other music productions at Málaga’s Cervantes Theatre, water parks in Torremolinos and Fuengirola, Tívoli amusement park in Benalmádena, the Benalmádena Cable Car to the top of Mijas Mountains, crocodile Park in Torremolinos, the Magic Palace in Torremolinos, NADFAS Fine Arts Society Lectures from eminent international experts, U3A courses in English in a wide variety of topics.
There are 4 weekly markets within a 30 minute drive and the park is just a 15 minute drive from the ancient town of Antequera with excellent shopping facilities, water sports, golf and art and history museums. There is a huge choice of places to visit in the area including a new concept zoo, a History Theme park, water parks in Torremolinos and Fuengirola and the park is just 45 minute’s drive from Malaga, 45 minute’s drive from Granada and 75 minute’s drive from Seville.
12) Would I need to hire a car whilst over there?
We advise our customers to have a car for this park but there is a courtesy shuttle service available and there is a local bus stop just outside the adjoining hotel (Bus services may be limited in comparison to UK); this means you can get the bus to and from Malaga if required but the park is inland and rather rural. Hourly bus services connect residents with the nearby city of Antequera, twice daily there is bus service to Málaga city (But can not be relied on entirely) http://www.elsoldeantequera.com. In addition, train and bus service are available to cities such as Seville and Madrid. Hotel Saydo is pleased to offer a Courtesy MiniBus service to Mollina and Antequera. 13) How far are the nearest golf courses and beaches situated?
The Antequera Golf Club is set in a spectacular natural setting and offering an 18 hole par 72 course that will put your skills to the test and give you the chance to put every club to use. The course takes golfers on a journey of over 6,000 meters and is just 15 to 30 minutes drive. Málaga and its beaches are approximately 40 minutes away. Alternatively there is the nearby lake of ‘El Chorro’ where you can swim, picnic, lunch and hire boats to go onto the lake.
14) How far is the site from the nearest airport?
Malaga airport is approximately 40 minutes’ drive away, approximately 70km away.
15) What is the weather like?
The weather in Antequera is predominantly a warm Mediterranean climate, with dry summers and winters, although you will see a variation in the temperatures between the two seasons. The area has an altitude of between 450m and 600m above sea level and as such you will find it hotter during the summer months and chillier during the winter months. Temperatures can be as high as 45 degrees during the summer months and is generally a comfortable 15 degrees during winter, however it can occasionally drop down to as low as freezing overnight during some winter months. There will be rain at some point of the year, between October and May is most likely.
16) Are pets allowed on site?
Yes pets (maximum 1) are allowed on the park – but you must have written permission from the park and pets must be vaccinated, chipped and spayed.
17) How long is the site open for and how long can I stay here for?
The park is a residential park home site and every plot has a building permit and you can use your address here as your permanent address.
The park is open 12 months of the year and 70% of the mobile home owners are permanent residents of the park.
18) Does all work on plots have to be done by site owners?
Mobile home owners can work on their own plot and also erect a shed – plans must be approved by the park owners first.
Viewing trips to Spain, Andalucia – Antequera, inland Costa del Sol
Here in the beautiful Audalucian countryside we have a couple of viewing trip options available.
The first and most popular option is our 2 nights and 3 day trip, this trip includes accommodation in onsite Hotel with a tour of the park, the viewing of mobile homes (where available), tour of local area and collection from / return to the airport. Alternatively, option 2 – you can make an appointment to be shown around the park and the homes available during a day visit where you would make your own way to the park.
Option 1 – We arrange for you to be collected at Malaga airport where you would make the short 45 minute drive to the hotel (This costs approximately 75€ each way *Refundable upon purchase), here we will check you into the hotel for your en-suite double room which costs:
During your stay you have the opportunity to have a guided tour of the park and its facilities at your leisure, view a selection of sited homes if required, view the available plots and chat with current owners on the park or in one of the bars or restaurant. The hotel is situated within the mobile home park giving you unlimited access to the park and its facilities.
Hosting a small market & car boot every Wednesday where the locals and expats meet to buy, sell or even exchange goods, if you are a market trader or car booter then you are more than welcome to join the current market traders or if you are visiting the area, on holiday or just passing through then this a great place to spend a little time, the friendly bar is open early until late serving refreshments and tapas to shoppers and traders alike.
We have a selection of plots available starting at only 2,575€ per year for a holiday home, then we have our standard plots that will take larger homes and we also have a range of double plots for the large twin unit park homes.
Option 2 – Self drive with your own accommodation.
If you would prefer to drive and explore yourself then our customers liaison will be on hand for advice, directions and any other information you may require but please contact our office with your planned travel arrangements and approximate time / day of arrival for when you would like to view the park. We then make the arrangement for you to come and view the park and homes (where applicable). Unfortunately an appointment is necessary to view the park as this is a gated residential style community and we like to keep disruption to our home owners to a minimum.
If you are a market trader or car booter then you are more than welcome to join the current market traders every Wednesday or if you are visiting the area, on holiday or just passing through then this a great place to spend a little time, the friendly bar is open early until late serving refreshments and tapas to shoppers and traders alike. There is a large car park available opposite the hotel where you may park your car for a euro when visiting the market.
We do not employ high pressure sales teams either in our office or on the park and at no time during the visit will you be under any pressure or obligation to purchase. We believe that our park and homes will sell themselves and if you are interested, you will contact us to complete the purchase. We will then ensure that you are given our full assistance and guide you through your purchase if required.
Please note: Brand new mobile homes are not already sited on the mobile home park, these models can be viewed in the UK either prior to, or after your park visit. Please call us if you are interested in viewing a new mobile home, we will locate your requested make / model of home on a showground in the UK, trying to provide a location as close to you as we possibly can. Any resale mobile homes we may have listed on the website are situated on the park and will be available to view with your appointment.
* Viewing trip costs will be refunded up to a maximum of £150 if you proceed to purchase a brand new mobile home (excludes pre-owned resale homes). Your accommodation invoice or flight receipt will be required for the credit adjustment and will be shown as a credit on your final invoice.
