At Last, Some Good News ...
So, with all the doom and gloom surrounding the recession, it is nice to see that house sales are at a high since September 2007. First time buyers are up again for the first time in that period and mortgages are being offered again. So, what does this mean to Mobile Homes Abroad customers?
Well, firstly, all of you who have had your house up for sale for 2 years without interest, there is renewed hope that your house can and will sell as we start our ascent out of recession. The pound is getting stronger again (currently at 1.179€ per £) which, for us earning Euros is bad news but for you in the UK wanting to retire to Europe is excellent news as you get more for your £. You can still buy your home in Sterling and when you get to Europe, ground rent now looks cheaper again as the conversion rate changes (from 1600€ in France - £1370) and living expenses are moving back to the lower rates that we have enjoyed in the past.
