Mobile Homes for sale in Southern France, Languedoc-Roussillon

We are happy to present this attractively set out quiet and friendly family run park in the countryside of the Languedoc Roussillon region in Southern France – Domaine de Montrose. Nestled amongst 50 acres of vineyards and on a three hundred year old wine estate – the park is conveniently situated just 20km from miles of glorious Mediterranean beaches and easily accessed from two nearby airports.

The facilities of the park include an outdoor swimming pool (heated May-September), bar, restaurant and takeaway, laundrette and a sports area with a variety of organised sports including football, petanque, volleyball and table tennis. Local wine tasting is a must, horse riding is available nearby, tennis courts are within walking distance, the nearest golf course is just 10km drive away and for skiing enthusiasts the nearest ski resort with 9 km of slopes is less than a 2 hour drive. The park is within walking distance of  bars, restaurants and a bakery and a short drive to an artisan village ‘Pézenas’ with beautifully paved streets – , banks, supermarkets, shops, craft workshops, antique and bric-a-brac shops, bars, restaurants and a weekly Saturday morning market.

Cap d’Agde with its wonderful sandy beaches is approximately 20 km from the park as is Sète – the Venice of the Mediterranean. Sète is a major port which encircles a large hill (Mont St Clair) The town is bordered by a vast saltwater lagoon with mussel and oyster beds and across a narrow isthmus, the town’s Mediterranean coast is lined with 12km of the finest sandy beaches. A network of canals links the lagoon and the town and bring the fishing activities into the town centre – many locals use their own little boats to go shopping as the canals are lined with attractive buildings housing shops, restaurants and bars. The young at heart city of Montpellier is often overlooked in favour of the more  well known cities of southern France – yet its elegant buildings, private mansions and stately boulevards equal those of Nice and Marseilles. Montpellier has no Roman heritage – it was founded by the Counts of Toulouse in the 10th century and became not only a trading port but also a school of learning and the first medical school in Europe was founded here in the 12th century

Béziers- one of the Languedoc region’s most beautiful cities is less than a half hour’s drive from the park – the city has narrow streets and is overflowing with historic sights and culture and here you can enjoy some of France’s best cuisine and wines. The Haut-Languedoc regional natural park is just over an hour’s drive away – with rolling hills covered with chestnut and pine forests, fast-flowing rivers and pretty villages – the area boasts some of France’s finest riches – including gold. Sadly the gold mine at Salsigne has been worked out – but locals say that flecks and tiny nuggets can still be found in the bed of the River Orbiel and some of the mountain streams!

7) What are the plot sizes?

8) How long can I keep my mobile home on site for?

There is no age restriction to mobile homes – you may keep your mobile home on the park for as long as you require – the condition of mobile home and plot must be well maintained.

9) Can I sell or rent my mobile home if required?

Yes, we can advertise your mobile home for sale on our website, please click here to view our mobile home resale service. Subletting is permitted through the park’s letting service, they charge 35% commission for this service.

The nearest village is within walking distance with a bakery, grocery shop, bars and restaurant and the nearest supermarkets and banks are within 5km of the park. Horse riding facilities are within walking distance and the local tennis courts are just 2 km away.

12) Would I need to hire a car whilst over there?

Yes – a car would be advisable

13) How far are the nearest golf courses and beaches situated?

The nearest golf course is 10km from the park and the nearest beach is just a 20km drive.

14) How far is the site from the nearest airport?

The park is 24km from Béziers Airport, 67 km from Montpellier Airport and 107 km from Perpignan Airport

15) What is the weather like?

The local climate is warm and temperate with winter months rainier than the summer months. The temperature here averages 14.5°C. July is the warmest and driest month of the year when the temperature averages 22.9°C. October is the wettest month of the year and January is the coldest month – with temperatures averaging 6.5°C.

16) Are pets allowed on site?

Pets are permitted.

17) How long is the site open for and how long can I stay here for?

The park is closed from 1st December until the 1st March each year – but owners may have access during this period and you can visit as frequently and for as long as you wish.

18) Does all work on plots have to be done by site owner

Owners are responsible for the maintenance of their own plots – the park owners may help if necessary but would charge a fee – and with the park owner’s permission – a shed or storage area of your choice can be installed up to a maximum size of 2m².

Viewing Trips

Viewing trips to France, Languedoc-Roussillon, Béziers

We have 2 options available on this mobile home park. Option 1 – 2 nights accommodation in a local hotel (Or mobile home on site where available) with a tour of the park, the viewing of mobile homes, tour of local area and possible collection from airport. Alternatively, option 2 – you can make an appointment to be shown around the park and the homes available during a day visit.

Option 1 – Your viewing trip starts when you meet up with our customer service team at Perpignan or Béziers airport or at your hotel where you can check-in and make the arrangements to view the park and the local area the following day. You will now be able to relax for the rest of the day/evening. If required our team can inform you of the local area, the location of amenities, the way to the sea front, harbour, restaurants and answer any initial questions you may have.

The next day they will show you around the site and answer any further questions you may have. You may then want to take a walk along the beach, explore surrounding towns and villages, take a drive around the local area or visit some of the local attractions. If you would like to take a drive and explore yourself then our team will always be on hand for advice, directions and any other information you may require.

That night you get to relax in your hotel again before heading back to the airport for your return flight home. You may wish to return to the park the following day for a final look before flying back, this is fine and our team will be available to take you back for a second look.

Option 2 – You contact our office with your planned travel arrangements and day of arrival with an approximate time for when you would like to view the park. We then make the arrangement for you to come and view the park and homes (where applicable). Unfortunately an appointment is necessary to view the park as we like to keep disruption to home owners to a minimum and entrance to the park is via a security barrier.

We do not employ high pressure sales teams and at no time during the visit will you be under any pressure or obligation to purchase. We believe that the product, once seen sells itself and if you are interested, you will contact us to complete the purchase. We will then ensure that you are given our full assistance and guide you through your purchase if required.

Your travel arrangements are booked in conjunction with our UK office subject to availability. This will be coordinated with our customer service team in France. We can give friendly advice and help about where and how to book your flights and car hire if required; we can arrange and reserve your accommodation (Usually payable locally on arrival at the hotel). It may be possible for us to collect and return you to Béziers or Perpignan airport. Please note: Resale mobile homes we may have listed on the website are situated on the park and will be available to view with your appointment. Brand new mobile homes are not situated on the park as they are newly built in the UK prior to transportation and installation.

Viewing trip costs will be refunded up to a maximum of £150 if you proceed to purchase. Your accommodation invoice or flight receipt will be required for the credit adjustment and will be shown as a credit on your final invoice. The cost is not redeemable in conjunction with any other special offer, price reduction, discounts or promotions.
