Less than 10 minutes’ drive from the Belgium border in the Ardennes region of France you can find our countryside mobile home retreat at Signy-le-Petit. Situated only 2 hours 30 minutes from the Calais Channel Tunnel Crossing / Ferry Port you could be in your mobile holiday home quicker than you may think. Alternatively arriving by plane is possible with Brussels Charleroi Airport approximately a 1 hour drive away.
This 5 star park is open all year round and hosts fantastic facilities consisting of an aquatic centre, spa (including saunas, massages, Turkish bath, bronzing bed and gym), fantastic restaurant, bar / snack bar, mini golf, boules, children’s play area and more. Consisting of 400 plots the grounds are split into 2 sections – Residential style mobile homes and holiday touring / camping. Mobile home plots are generously sized between 150 – 200m² each and the annual ground rent is competitively priced at 1,800€.
The local area is well renowned for its lakes and rivers, surrounded by woodland there are some fantastic walks and several fishing lakes within walking distance. Situated less than a 5 minute walk from the site you’ll also find a swimming lake with manmade beach perfect for sunbathing. You can also walk to the local town (Less than 1 mile away) where you’ll find a shop, supermarket, café/bar, chemist takeaway, bank and restaurants.
45 minutes’ away you will find Charleville-Mézières, an important town in the Champagne-Ardenne region of northern France, and also the prefecture town for the Ardennes department. Although it is not a major French tourist destination you will find a great deal to enjoy in the town if you choose visit including several imposing historical monuments including one of the largest and most impressive squares in France, Place Ducale.

2) What does a viewing trip include?
2 nights’ accommodation in a local hotel or in a mobile home / chalet on site (where available), a tour of the mobile home park, the viewing of resale mobile homes (where available), tour of local area and possible collection from Brussels Charleroi airport.
3) How much deposit is required?
10% deposit secures your mobile home. For special offers mobile homes may be reserved for a 10% deposit but must be viewed within 14 days. The purchase needs to be completed within 15 days of viewing. Part exchanges may be considered. Email for further details
4) Do I lose my deposit?
Your deposit will be refunded in full once we have re-sold your reserved mobile home and/or plot, less any expenses that may be incurred by ourselves.
5) What is included in the price?
Furnished mobile home sited and connected on to your own plot.

Electricity and water are metered – Electricity = 0.25€ per kWh. Water = 3€ per m3.

7) What are the plot sizes?
The park contains 400 pitches with mobile home plots generously sized at approximately 150 – 200m².
8) How long can I keep my mobile home on site for?
As long as required if you maintain the condition of your mobile home, keep your plot tidy, basic rules of the park adhered to and site fees paid.
9) Can I sell or rent my mobile home if required?
Yes, we can advertise your mobile home for sale on our website, please click here to view our mobile home resale service. Subletting is permitted but must be accompanied by the owners of the mobile home, if they are unaccompanied then the site charge a 30% rental fee. The park can take care of key handover, cleaning and deposits etc. but charge a 30% commission for this service.
10) What facilities are available on site (Seasonal)?
Swimming pool, spa (including saunas, massages, Turkish bath, bronzing bed and gym), bar and restaurant, children’s play area, mini golf, boules, reception. Some facilities may close out of season (Opening April – December).
11) What facilities are nearby?
Bars, restaurants, takeaway food, shops, supermarket, chemist, banks, fishing lakes, manmade beach and swimming lake, woodland walks.
12) Would I need to hire a car whilst over there?
Yes, the Ardennes region of France can be very rural so you would need a car to access the site. Once on site you can walk to most amenities but travelling to the park would require your own transport as public transport would not be available.
13) How far are the nearest golf courses and beaches situated?
Golf Abbaye de Sept Fontaines (Approximately 40 minutes away) is an undulating 18 hole golf course, technical & varied, you’ll play in the heart of a park with many hundred-year-old trees and a spectacular sight. There is a manmade beach within 5 minutes of the park which is set beside a lake for swimming and perfect for sunbathing.
14) How far is the site from the nearest airport, ferry terminal and train station?
Approximately 1 hour driving time from Brussels Charleroi Airport (80km away) and approximately 2 hours and 30 mintues (250km) from the channel tunnel crossing in Calais. The nearest train station is situated in Hirson approximately 15 minutes’ drive away, 15km from the park.
15) What is the weather like?
The Champagne-Ardenne’s climate is as variable as its terrain. Winters tend to be cold, crisp and clear; summers are warm and relatively dry. This region is mostly mild: averaging 2°C in January, 18°C in July, with an annual average of about 10°C
16) Are pets allowed on site?
Yes, pets are allowed.
17) How long is the site open for and how long can I stay here for?
The park is open for 12 months of the year so you may visit and stay here for as long as you wish. Reception and facilities are seasonal so may not be open out of season.
18) Does all work on plots have to be done by site owners?
Residents / owners can work on their own plots with the manager’s prior authorisation, respecting the parks rules. Terraces and sheds can be supplied by the park but you can also supply your own with prior authorisation.
Viewing trips to France, Champagne-Ardenne, Signy-le-Petit
We have 3 options available on this mobile home park. Option 1 – 2 nights accommodation in a local hotel (Or mobile home on site where available) with a tour of the park, the viewing of mobile homes and tour of local area. Option 2 – you can make an appointment to be shown around the park and the homes available during a day visit. Option 3 – We make the travel arrangements and can offer an accompanied viewing where you meet up with our customer service team at Ashford Travelodge and travel with us in our 7 seat MPV through the Channel tunnel.
Option 1 – Your viewing trip starts when you meet up with our customer service team at Brussels Charleroi airport or at your mobile home / hotel in Signy-le-Petit where you can check-in and make the arrangements to view the park and the local area the following day. You will now be able to relax for the rest of the day/evening. If required our team can inform you of the local area, the location of amenities, the way to local attractions, restaurants and answer any initial questions you may have.
The next day they will show you around the site and answer any further questions you may have. You may then want to take a walk around the lakes, explore surrounding towns and villages, take a drive around the local area or visit some of the local attractions. If you would like to take a drive and explore yourself then our team will always be on hand for advice, directions and any other information you may require.
That night you get to relax in your hotel / home again before heading back to the airport for your return flight home. You may wish to return to the park the following day for a final look before flying back, this is fine and our team will be available to take you back for a second look.
Option 2 – You contact our office with your planned travel arrangements and day of arrival with an approximate time for when you would like to view the park. We then make the arrangement for you to come and view the park and homes (where applicable). Unfortunately an appointment is necessary to view the park as we like to keep disruption to home owners to a minimum and entrance to the park is via a security barrier.
Option 3 – Your trip starts in the morning when you meet up with our customer service team in Ashford, from here you will then be transported with us in our company MPV on to the euro tunnel shuttle to Calais and then to the park. We usually have 4 passengers travelling with us in our 7 seat MPV on each journey, mainly couples and single people; we don’t recommend children on this trip. When you arrive you will be greeted by the site manager at the park (When possible) where you can ask any initial questions that you may have about the site and/or the local area. We will then show you the park, the facilities, the local area, the location of amenities, restaurants and attractions etc. We will always be on hand to answer any questions you may have and to give you as much information as possible. Once you’ve viewed the park and local area at your leisure we will then check into a local hotel for the evening. We then return late morning to the Calais euro tunnel crossing to return for the afternoon.
You may join us on our next viewing trip. We meet at Ashford Travelodge (Where you can park your car and join us in our company MPV), this would be at approximately 7am for the 8.30am Eurotunnel Le Shuttle and returning the following day at approximately 12 noon. The cost of this trip is £99 per person (Refundable with purchase*).
We do not employ high pressure sales teams and at no time during the visit will you be under any pressure or obligation to purchase. We believe that the product, once seen sells itself and if you are interested, you will contact us to complete the purchase. We will then ensure that you are given our full assistance and guide you through your purchase if required.
Your travel arrangements are booked in conjunction with our UK office subject to availability. This will be coordinated with our customer service team in France. We can give friendly advice and help about where and how to book your flights and car hire if required; we can arrange and reserve your accommodation (Usually payable locally on arrival at the hotel). It may be possible for us to collect and return you to Longueville train station if you wish to travel by train. Please note: Resale mobile homes we may have listed on the website are situated on the park and will be available to view with your appointment. Brand new mobile homes are not situated on the park as they are newly built in the UK prior to transportation and installation.
