Mobile homes in Costa Calida, Spain – Puerto de Mazarrón
We are delighted to introduce our latest park on the beautiful coastline of the Costa Calida in Murcia. The park is sheltered by the foothills of the Sierra de la Almenera and is ideally located by the sea and just a short distance from the popular town of Puerto de Mazarron – with its impressive thirty-five kilometre stretch of coastline of coves and beautiful Blue Flag beaches. Murcia Airport is less than an hour’s drive away and the drive to Alicante Airport takes approximately 1 hour 45 mins.
The impressive facilities of the park include a swimming pool, spa and warm thermal pool with mineral-rich water sourced from an underground spring. The park is located by the beach and boasts a bar, shop, laundrette and children’s play area, Wi-Fi is available, pets are welcome and subletting is permitted. Horse riding and cycle hire are available locally and it’s just a five-minute walk to the nearest bus stop and a short 20-minute bus journey to Puerto de Mazarron.
The seaside resort of Puerto de Mazarron has shops, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, banks, medical facilities, a daily morning indoor market and a weekly Sunday morning open-air market. There are many opportunities for sailing, windsurfing, water skiing and scuba diving and the town is famous for its local seafood dishes – mouth-watering local dishes include bonito fish with noodles, peppers, garlic, sauté tomatoes and aniseed or Mazarrón sea bass oven baked with pepper, potatoes, tomatoes, dressed with pine nuts and speciality rice with lobster. Places of interest include a 1st-century Roman villa and the Barco Fenicio Centre which showcases a wide range of ceramics found when two 7th century ships were found buried a few miles from the coast. A few miles further along the coast is the not to be missed Ciudad Encanta (enchanted city) – behind the main beach at Bolnuevo – where the rock has eroded over thousands of years and created weird and gravity-defying shapes.
The historic city and port of Cartagena is just a 30-minute drive, the nearest water park is just over an hour away and the whitewashed hilltop village of Mojacar with its pretty buildings and winding streets can be reached in one and a half hours (toll road). Much closer to the park are the Cabo Tinoso Guns – huge Vickers naval guns located on the Cabo Tinoso Mountain fort and built after the civil war to help protect Cartagena from attack. The guns are amazing, the views are spectacular and the architecture bizarre (with a hint of Disney!) – but the total lack of facilities and the hair-raising drive might dampen enthusiasm!

There is no age restriction to mobile homes as long as mobile homes and plots are well maintained.

10) What facilities are available on site?
The facilities of the park include a swimming pool, thermal pool and spa, bar with terrace, shop, laundrette, children’s play area and petanque. Nearby there are opportunities for boat hire, diving, fishing, horse riding, cycling and hiking.
11) What facilities are nearby?
The park is a short ride (or bus ride) from Puerto de Mazarron where there are lovely beaches, shops, supermarkets, bars, restaurants, medical facilities and a daily indoor morning market and a weekly Sunday morning market.
12) Would I need to hire a car whilst over there?
A car would be advantageous. There is a bus stop within walking distance of the park – the journey to Mazarron (via Puerto de Mazarron) takes approximately 30 mins by bus and the nearest train station is at Cartagena (35 minutes by road).
13) How far are the nearest golf courses and beaches situated?
The park is just 50m from the beach and there is a choice of golf courses approximately 25 km from the park.
14) How far is the site from the nearest airport?
The nearest airports are Región de Murcia International Airport – 45 minutes’ drive and Murcia (San Javier) Airport – 50 minutes’ drive (toll road) or just under an hour’s drive avoiding tolls. Alicante Airport is approximately a 1 hour 40 minute drive from the park.
15) What is the weather like?
The hottest month of the year is August with an average temperature of 26ºC and October is the wettest month. The coldest month of the year is January with an average temperature of 11ºC.
1986 the World Health Organisation recommended the climate of the area as one of the most equitable in the world – neither too hot in the summer nor too cold in the winter. On average it can boast 325 sunny days each year making it an ideal all year round destination.
16) Are pets allowed on site?
Yes – pets are allowed.
17) How long is the site open for and how long can I stay here for?
The park is open for 12 months of the year and mobile home owners may visit as often as they wish and stay as long as they choose.
18) Does all work on plots have to be done by site owners?
Sheds and terraces must be of a wooden construction and agreed with the park owner prior to work taking place.
Viewing trips : Mobile Homes in France, Dordogne, Périgueux
We have 2 options available on this mobile home park. Option 1 – 2 nights accommodation in a hotel with a tour of the park, the viewing of mobile homes (where available), tour of local area and possible collection from Bordeaux airport. Alternatively, option 2 – you can make an appointment to be shown around the park and the homes available during a day visit.
Option 1 – Your viewing trip starts when you meet up with our customer service team at Bordeaux airport or at your hotel in Périgueux where you can check-in and make the arrangements to view the park and the local area the following day. You will now be able to relax for the rest of the day/evening. If required our team can inform you of the local area, the location of amenities, restaurants and answer any initial questions you may have.
The next day they will show you around the site and answer any further questions you may have. You may then want to explore the surrounding towns and villages, take a drive around the local area or visit some of the local attractions. If you would like to take a drive and explore yourself then our team will always be on hand for advice, directions and any other information you may require.
That night you get to relax in your hotel again before heading back to the airport for your return flight home. You may wish to return to the park the following day for a final look before flying back, this is fine and our team will be available to take you back for a second look.
Option 2 – You contact our office with your planned travel arrangements and day of arrival with an approximate time for when you would like to view the park. We then make the arrangement for you to come and view the park and homes (where applicable). Unfortunately an appointment is necessary to view the park as this is a residential style community and we like to keep disruption to home owners to a minimum. We do not employ high pressure sales teams and at no time during the visit will you be under any pressure or obligation to purchase. We believe that the product, once seen sells itself and if you are interested, you will contact us to complete the purchase. We will then ensure that you are given our full assistance and guide you through your purchase if required.
If required our team can inform you of the local area, the location of amenities, restaurants etc. and answer any initial questions you may have, we can also recommend a local hotel if you wish to stay local to the park for a couple of nights.
Your travel arrangements are booked in conjunction with our UK office subject to availability. This will be coordinated with our customer service team in France. We can give friendly advice and help about where and how to book your ferries / flights and car hire if required; we will arrange and reserve your accommodation. Please note: Brand new mobile homes are not already sited on the mobile home park, these models must be viewed in the UK either prior to, or after your park visit. Please call us if you are interested in viewing a new mobile home, we will locate your requested make/model of home on a showground in the UK, trying to provide a location as close to you as we possibly can. Any resale mobile homes we may have listed on the website are situated on the park and will be available to view with your appointment.
Viewing trip costs will be refunded up to a maximum of £150 if you proceed to purchase. Your accommodation invoice, flight receipt or ferry receipt will be required for the credit adjustment and will be shown as a credit on your final invoice. The cost is not redeemable in conjunction with any other special offer, price reduction, discounts or promotions.
