Caravans in the Sun is happy to present our newest mobile home park in Spain, just over one hour’s drive from Seville Airport, one and three-quarter hours drive from Faro Airport and a short walk to the Andalucian village – famous for one of the largest religious festivals in the country. The park is located just outside the Doñana National Park and just 15kms away from the area of extensive coastal dunes and golden beaches of very fine sand of Matalascañas on the Costa de la Luz (Coast of Light) – the beautiful natural and laidback coastline with endless sandy beaches, forests and small fishing villages and where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea.
The park is open 12 months of the year and has a swimming pool, a snack bar, a traditional Andalucian restaurant with takeaway, a shop (with fresh bread daily), laundrette, sports area, children’s play area and Wi-Fi is available. Local amenities include cycle hire, fishing, golf, horse riding, mountain biking, tennis and a farmer’s market. The nearby village has a “wild west “ atmosphere with sand roads and rails to tie up horses and is famous for one of the largest religious festivals in Spain. The village has bars, restaurants, a cashpoint, supermarket, museum and equestrian centres. There a several festivals held here through the year and the famous annual pilgrimage when whole communities journey between 2 and 5 days on foot, horseback, in horse-drawn carts and caravans – all escorting a lavishly decorated ox-drawn cart carrying the village’s representation of the Virgin Mary is when the whole village and area becomes a mass of colour and music.
The area is noted for its protected nature reserves and parks, incorporating such areas of outstanding beauty as the Doñana National Park, an area made up of three independent eco-systems: swamps, moving dunes and stabilized sands or ‘cotos’; where endangered species such as the Spanish Imperial Eagle and the Iberian Lynx, which is the emblem of the park, can sometimes be sighted. Guided 4W bus tours can be booked at Reception. The Saca de Yeguas – (annual roundup of mares) takes place in early June when the mares and foals of the marshlands of the National Park are taken to the nearby town to be clipped and sold.
Matalascañas is a popular modern resort located in the Huelva Province, a beautiful area of extensive dunes and sandy beaches in the Doñana National Park and stretching for 5km. The town of Huelva is just 50 kms away – an important port since the Phoenicians established it as a major trading post – it reached its zenith in the 15th century with the discovery of America by Christopher Columbus who recruited local sailors for his voyage.
The centre has many pretty plazas, absorbing historical monuments and, as you’d expect from a city with a bustling port, a wealth of seafood bars and restaurants. Less than 3 hours drive away is Gibraltar – with lush greenery, lovely beaches, a labyrinth of underground passageways, Barbary apes – and red pillar boxes!

15) What is the weather like?
The Costa de la Luz has a Mediterranean climate influenced by both the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea – because of these influences extremes in weather are uncommon. Due to its southerly location the summer temperatures are often hot, but the breeze from the sea allows ideal tanning conditions. However, the Costa de la Luz also flourishes in winter, during which time the temperatures are distinctly mild. The influence of the Atlantic Ocean causes temperatures to be slightly lower here than in the more easterly located places in Spain
16) Are pets allowed on site?
Yes pets are allowed.
17) How long is the site open for and how long can I stay here for?
The park is open for 12 months of the year. Owners can stay for a maximum of 8 months and are then required to be away from the park for a minimum of 24 hours before returning to stay for another 8 months.
18) Does all work on plots have to be done by site owners?
Mobile home owners can work on their own plot with prior permission from the owner and if maintained to a certain level. Sheds and storage areas can be installed.

We have 2 options available on this mobile home park. Option 1 – 2 nights accommodation in a hotel with a tour of the park, the viewing of mobile homes (where available), tour of local area and possible collection from Seville airport. Alternatively, option 2 – you can make an appointment to be shown around the park and the homes available during a day visit.
Option 1 – Your viewing trip starts when you meet up with our customer service team at Seville airport or at your local hotel where you can check-in and make the arrangements to view the park and the local area. You will now be able to relax for the rest of the day/evening. If required our team can inform you of the local area, the location of amenities, the way to the sea front, harbour, restaurants and answer any initial questions you may have.
The next day they will show you around the site and answer any further questions you may have. You may then want to take a walk along the beach, explore surrounding towns and villages, take a drive around the local area or visit some of the local attractions. If you would like to take a drive and explore yourself then our team will always be on hand for advice, directions and any other information you may require.
That night you get to relax in your hotel again before heading back to the airport for your return flight home. You may wish to return to the park the following day for a final look before flying back, this is fine and our team will be available to take you back for a second look.
Option 2 – You contact our office with your planned travel arrangements and day of arrival with an approximate time for when you would like to view the park. We then make the arrangement for you to come and view the park and homes (where applicable). Unfortunately an appointment is necessary to view the park as this is a residential style community and we like to keep disruption to home owners to a minimum.
We do not employ high pressure sales teams and at no time during the visit will you be under any pressure or obligation to purchase. We believe that the product, once seen sells itself and if you are interested, you will contact us to complete the purchase. We will then ensure that you are given our full assistance and guide you through your purchase if required.
Your travel arrangements are booked in conjunction with our UK office subject to availability. This will be coordinated with our customer service team in Spain. We can give friendly advice and help about where and how to book your flights and car hire if required; we will arrange and reserve your accommodation (Usually payable locally on arrival at the hotel). It may be possible for us to collect and return you to Seville airport. Please note: Brand new mobile homes are not already sited on the mobile home park, these models must be viewed in the UK either prior to, or after your park visit. Please call us if you are interested in viewing a new mobile home, we will locate your requested make/model of home on a showground in the UK, trying to provide a location as close to you as we possibly can. Any resale mobile homes we may have listed on the website are situated on the park and will be available to view with your appointment.
Viewing trip costs will be refunded up to a maximum of £150 if you proceed to purchase. Your accommodation invoice or flight receipt will be required for the credit adjustment and will be shown as a credit on your final invoice. The cost is not redeemable in conjunction with any other special offer, price reduction, discounts or promotions.
