Caravans in the Sun is proud to present this modern fully residential park set in wonderful countryside (known as the Spanish Lake District) and located between Malaga and Seville in the province of Seville. The park is within a few minutes walk of the local village, just over an hour’s drive from Malaga Airport and Seville Airport and a trip to the nearest coastal resort (Torremolinos) takes approximately 1 hour. Every home on this park will have a countryside view.
The park is open for 12 months of the year – there are plots suitable for single and twin mobile homes, roads are rustic hardcore with concrete driveways to the plots and residents have full access to the facilities of the small rural Spanish hotel and stables adjoining the park. The facilities include a restaurant, bar (where you can purchase emergency items if needed) and a swimming pool which is open 6 days a week. Pets are allowed and all utilities are connected (Wi-Fi is also available at a cost of 20€ per month). The hotel is owned by a Spanish flamenco singer with a passion for horses and lucky residents can see the horses being trained the Spanish way in the training pens behind the stables. The surrounding countryside is perfect for walking and cycling and water sports are available on the coast and at the lake at Iznajar – both approximately an hour’s drive from the park.
The nearby village has bakeries, butchers, shops, supermarket, bars, restaurants, bank, post office, a medical centre and a weekly market. The local bus service is limited but Bobadilla – the main junction for intercity rail lines to Seville, Malaga, Cordoba Madrid and Granada – or Santa Ana – the high-speed train station are both just 30 minutes’ drive from the park.
There are wonderful walks in the countryside around the park and the famous flamingo lake (Laguna de Fuente die Piedras) is only 20 minutes’ drive away. The lake is the largest natural lake in the Iberian Peninsula, covers an area of 13km² and is only one of more than half a dozen lagoons in the surrounding countryside. Malaga’s Lake District is actually three reservoirs created by dams built across the Guadalhorce River Gorge (Garganta del Chorro). The lakes are in a stunning area of outstanding beauty near El Chorro and are a beautiful turquoise blue colour and surrounded by woodlands. The lakes are surrounded by pine forest and offer wonderful walks – with shaded paths along the shores. Rock climbing and hang gliding are possible in the area – while the reservoirs provide the focus for more gentle activities such as fishing and canoeing. 40km east of El Chorro the El Torcal Nature reserve offers the geological wonders of 17km² of the most stunning and impressive limestone landscapes in Europe.
Just 30 minutes’ drive from the park the town of Antequera is a classic white Andalusian city, the old, original part of Antequera stretches up the hill from the Plaza de San Sebastian to the Castle with narrow, whitewashed streets, flower-decked patios and beautiful churches. The city has been inhabited since 2,500BC and has burial mounds, baroque churches, Roman baths and renaissance palaces as well as tapas bars, restaurants and shops. The huge valley below the town is one of Andalucía’s most fertile areas, its rich farmlands irrigated by the Guadalhorce River. Asparagus, cereals and – above all – olives – are produced in abundance here. In summer, fields are ablaze with brilliant yellow sunflowers.

12) Would I need to hire a car whilst over there?
It would be advisable to have the use of a car as the local transport is limited. The nearest train station (Osuna) is approximately 30 minutes’ drive from the park and trains from here go to Malaga, Seville, Granada and Cordoba. Santa Ana train station near Antequera is on the high speed rail line with access to Malaga, Granada, Seville, Barcelona and Madrid.
13) How far are the nearest golf courses and beaches situated?
The nearest 18 hole golf course is in Antequera – the course at 650 metres above sea level is situated between the Torcal mountains and La Vega de Antequera plains. The fairways are lined with 200-year-old olive trees, and the course is surrounded with lavender, thyme, rosemary, pines and fruit trees.
The nearest beach is Torremolinos – a drive of just over one hour.
14) How far is the site from the nearest airport?
The nearest airports are Malaga Airport and Seville Airport – both are just over one hour’s drive from the park.
15) What is the weather like?
On average the warmest and driest months are from the middle of June to the middle of September with an average daily high temperature of 28.8°C.
November and December see the most rainfall – with November being the wettest month of the year.
January is the coolest month of the year with average daily temperatures of below 17°C.
16) Are pets allowed on site?
Yes – pets are allowed.
17) How long is the site open for and how long can I stay here for?
The park is fully residential so you can live here.
18) Does all work on plots have to be done by site owners?
Mobile home owners can work on their own plot and garden and a shed or storage area can be erected – but please check with the park owner first. Test

Seeing the mobile home park for yourself goes a long way to see if living in Spain is for you, and there is no better way than strolling around the park chatting to some of the residents you meet. So for that reason, we have teamed up with our partners to offer three different ways to help you visit and all three ways are listed below.

Once on or near the park, you will be welcomed by a team member who lives on the park.
Take a Dedicated 4-day Visit
These visits are perfect for anyone who wants to experience the way of life on a residential park. You are with one of the residents from the airport onward and you will learn a lot in a short space of time.
The cost of a dedicated viewing trip is only £79 per person plus a one-off £25 fuel supplement to include park visit plus all airport** and hotel transfers. This also includes 3 nights subsidised hotel accommodation in the heart of Antequera.
However, if you wish to stay in a different hotel you are more than welcome to do so. We will send links to hotels in the area for you to choose one. We will then cancel your subsidised accommodation and refund you £29 per person.
**Please note that should you book an early or late flight in or out of Malaga and need collecting after 11 pm or before 6 am there is a £25 out of hours surcharge on each occasion.

OPTION THREE :
Book a holiday in any resort close to Malaga on the Costa del Sol
To visit Corrales Park we are offering a car collection service (includes up to 4 people) from your hotel or apartment in the following resorts on the Costa del Sol. Malaga, Torremolinos and Benalmadena the cost will be £45 in total for the complete day. From Fuengirola, the cost will £50 and from Nerja will cost £60.
Collection would be at around 10.30am, you will then be shown the town of Antequera first. In the afternoon you will visit the park and then we will return you to your hotel or apartment at the end of the day.
