Caravans in the Sun is happy to introduce this lovely park in the Axarquia region of the province of Malaga in the Costa del Sol. The park is not only set in beautiful countryside but also has wonderful views of the mountains, overlooks a huge lake and is still only a 10-minute drive from the nearest Mediterranean beach. The park is just over 60km from Malaga Airport.

The park is open for 12 months of the year and has excellent facilities including a swimming pool, bar, shop, gourmet restaurant overlooking the lake, pizzeria, snack bar and takeaway There is also a laundrette and children’s play area, pets are welcome and subletting is permitted. The beautiful surrounding countryside is perfect for walking, hiking, cycling and horse riding and there are facilities at the huge lake for fishing and non-motorised water sports. Restaurants, bars, supermarkets and banks are in the nearest town just 7 km from the park and Torre del Mar with its wonderful beach and 3 km seaside promenade (Paseo Maritimo) is just a short drive away.

Torre del Mar sits between the Mediterranean Sea and the Sierra Nevada mountains – making for spectacular views – its seaside promenade is one of the longest in the Costa del Sol and has a wide walking area, cycle lane, play areas for children, gardens and a good selection of restaurants and bars. The town – with its wide sandy beaches and choice of traditional Spanish restaurants, wonderful seafood and host of international cuisines is a top favourite for Spanish tourists. On the outskirts of Torres del Mar – shopaholics can indulge in retail therapy at one of the largest shopping centres to the east of Malaga – the El Ingenio Shopping Centre – with over 100 shops and there is fun for all at the nearby Aquavelis Water Park.

La Maroma, also known as Tejeda, at an altitude of 2069m, is the highest peak of the Sierra de Tejeda – the summit is located on the border between the provinces of Granada and Málaga and can be seen from our park. The mountain is located within the national park of Sierra Tejeda – well worth a visit not only for the local wildlife – but for the simply spectacular views.

2) What does a viewing trip include?

4) Do I lose my deposit?

Your deposit will be refunded in full once we have re-sold your reserved mobile home and/or plot, less any expenses that may be incurred by ourselves.

Furnished mobile home sited and connected on to your own plot.

10) What facilities are available on site?

The park has a swimming pool (open all year), bar (open all year), restaurant, shop, games room and play areas. Opportunities for kayaking, quad rides and archery are available locally.

11) What facilities are nearby?

The beautiful countryside is perfect for walking, cycling, horse riding and hiking and there are facilities for non motorised water sports and fishing at the nearby lake. Restaurants, bars, shops, supermarkets and banks are in the nearest town which is just 7 km from the park.

12) Would I need to hire a car whilst over there?

We would recommend a car as public transport is limited in the area.

13) How far are the nearest golf courses and beaches situated?

The nearest beach is just 20 minutes from the park and it is a 20-minute drive to the nearest golf course.

14) How far is the site from the nearest airport?

The nearest airport is a 45 minute drive from the park.

15) What is the weather like?

The climate is warm and temperate – residents enjoy around 2,800 hours of annual sunshine with an annual temperature of approximately 17.5ºC. The average rainfall is 461 mm with the winter months being rainier than the summer months.

16) Are pets allowed on site?

Pets are allowed – up to 2 pets per mobile home.

17) How long is the site open for and how long can I stay here for?

The park is open for 12 months of the year and owners may visit as often as they wish and stay as long as they wish.

18) Does all work on plots have to be done by site owners?

Mobile home owners can work on their own plot and also erect a shed – plans must be approved by the park owners first.

Viewing Trips

Viewing trips to Spain, Costa del Sol, Velez-Malaga

We have 2 options available on this mobile home park. Option 1 – 2 nights accommodation in a hotel with a tour of the park, the viewing of mobile homes (where available), tour of local area and possible collection from airport. Alternatively, option 2 – you can make an appointment to be shown around the park and the homes available during a day visit.

Option 1 – Your viewing trip starts when you meet up with our customer service team at Malaga airport or at your hotel in Malaga where you can check-in and make the arrangements to view the park and the local area the following day. You will now be able to relax for the rest of the day/evening. If required our team can inform you of the local area, the location of amenities, the way to the sea front, harbour, restaurants and answer any initial questions you may have.

The next day they will show you around the site and answer any further questions you may have. You may then want to take a walk along the beach / around the lake, explore surrounding towns and villages, take a drive around the local area or visit some of the local attractions. If you would like to take a drive and explore yourself then our team will always be on hand for advice, directions and any other information you may require.

That night you get to relax in your hotel again before heading back to the airport for your return flight home. You may wish to return to the park the following day for a final look before flying back, this is fine and our team will be available to take you back for a second look.

Option 2 – You contact our office with your planned travel arrangements and day of arrival with an approximate time for when you would like to view the park. We then make the arrangement for you to come and view the park and homes (where applicable). Unfortunately an appointment is necessary to view the park as this is a residential style community and we like to keep disruption to home owners to a minimum.

We do not employ high pressure sales teams and at no time during the visit will you be under any pressure or obligation to purchase. We believe that the product, once seen sells itself and if you are interested, you will contact us to complete the purchase. We will then ensure that you are given our full assistance and guide you through your purchase if required.

Your travel arrangements are booked in conjunction with our UK office subject to availability. This will be coordinated with our customer service team in Spain. We can give friendly advice and help about where and how to book your flights and car hire if required; we will arrange and reserve your accommodation (Usually payable locally on arrival at the hotel). It may be possible for us to collect and return you to Malaga airport. Please note: Brand new mobile homes are not already sited on the mobile home park, these models must be viewed in the UK either prior to, or after your park visit. Please call us if you are interested in viewing a new mobile home, we will locate your requested make/model of home on a showground in the UK, trying to provide a location as close to you as we possibly can. Any resale mobile homes we may have listed on the website are situated on the park and will be available to view with your appointment.

Viewing trip costs will be refunded up to a maximum of £150 if you proceed to purchase. Your accommodation invoice or flight receipt will be required for the credit adjustment and will be shown as a credit on your final invoice. The cost is not redeemable in conjunction with any other special offer, price reduction, discounts or promotions.
