Andalusia, Costa Del Sol
We are proud to introduce our latest park in Andalusia – in the province of Málaga, southern Spain. The park surrounded by fields and trees in an area of spectacular scenery and on the edge of a pine-covered Natural Park (one of the areas where eagles, falcons and vultures can still be seen). The nearby village is 15 minutes’ stroll from the park and Malaga Airport is easily reached by road in less than an hour. The nearest high-speed train station with access to Malaga, Cordoba, Granada, Seville and Madrid is less than 15 minutes’ drive from the park.
The facilities of the park include a swimming pool (seasonal) and restaurant and bar – open 6 days a week mid-June – September and 3 days a week in the winter. The park also has a laundrette and play areas for children (kids’ club and entertainment in high season), a petanque court and sauna (extra charge). Pets are permitted and homeowners can stay up to six months at a time in their home with just a necessary break of one night before the next six-month stay.
The nearby village has the advantage of shops (both food and traditional ironwork), bakers, a bank, medical centre, weekly market (Thursdays), a selection of tapas bars and restaurants, festivals to celebrate the patron saint in July and October and a week-long fair in August. The area is good for walking and cycling trails, and there are several manmade caves that have produced evidence of Arab settlements. One such is the Cave of El Zapato on the route of Pico Pollo, a peak of 610metres altitude, from which extensive views of the Laguna de Fuente de Piedra nature reserve and its flamingo lake can be enjoyed.
Antequera – known as the crossroads of Andalucía – is filled with small family run shops – local artisans are well known for their work with gold and many work with locally harvested vegetable fibres to produce baskets – modern shopping malls and a hypermarket are on the outskirts of the city. The city has over 40 churches (many with wonderfully ornate interiors), burial mounds, dolmens, Roman baths, a Moorish Castle, Gothic churches, Renaissance fountains and baroque bell towers. The countryside in the valley below has been one of Andalucia’s most fertile areas for centuries and is currently a leading producer of asparagus, cereals, olives – and sunflowers in the summer – making the fields turn a brilliant yellow.
Caravans in the Sun has a full range of new and resale mobile homes available which are suitable for this park. Arrange a viewing
Here in the beautiful Andalucian countryside, we have a couple of viewing trip options available.
The first and most popular option is our 2 nights and 3-day trip, this trip includes accommodation in a local hotel with a tour of the park, the viewing of mobile homes (where available), tour of local area and collection from / return to the airport. Alternatively, option 2 – you can make an appointment to be shown around the park and the homes available during a day visit where you would make your own way to the park.
Please note: Brand new mobile homes are not already sited on the mobile home park, these models can be viewed in the UK either prior to, or after your park visit. Please call us if you are interested in viewing a new mobile home, we will locate your requested make/model of home on a showground in the UK, trying to provide a location as close to you as we possibly can. Any resale mobile homes we may have listed on the website are situated on the park and will be available to view with your appointment.
Viewing trip costs will be refunded up to a maximum of £150 if you proceed to purchase a brand new mobile home (excludes pre-owned resale homes). Your accommodation invoice or flight receipt will be required for the credit adjustment and will be shown as a credit on your final invoice. The cost is not redeemable in conjunction with any other special offer, price reduction, discounts or promotions.
We arrange for you to be collected at Malaga airport where you would make the 45 minutes’ drive to the hotel either in Antequera or at the Saydo Park Hotel, here we will check you into the hotel for your en-suite double room.
Approximate costs (Saydo Hotel example)
Double room (2 people) including breakfast: 55€ per night. Room only. (*Refundable upon purchase)
Single room (1 person) including breakfast: 40€ per night. Room only. (*Refundable upon purchase)
Taxi is 50€ each way from the airport to hotel
During your stay, you have the opportunity to have a guided tour of the park and its facilities at your leisure, view a selection of sited homes if required, view the available plots and chat with current owners on the park or in one of the bars or restaurant. Saydo hotel is situated within the mobile home park giving you unlimited access to the park and its facilities, alternatively, we would recommend a hotel in Antequera.
Self-drive with your own accommodation.
If you would prefer to drive and explore yourself then our customer liaison will be on hand for advice, directions and any other information you may require but please contact our office with your planned travel arrangements and approximate time/day of arrival for when you would like to view the park. We then make the arrangement for you to come and view the park and homes (where applicable). Unfortunately, an appointment is necessary to view the park as this is a gated residential style community and we like to keep disruption to our homeowners to a minimum.
We do not employ high-pressure sales teams either in our office or on the park and at no time during the visit will you be under any pressure or obligation to purchase. We believe that our park and homes will sell themselves and if you are interested, you will contact us to complete the purchase. We will then ensure that you are given our full assistance and guide you through your purchase if required.
