Caravans in the Sun is pleased to announce our latest park in Andalucia – set in beautiful countryside in the heart of a National Park – ideal for outdoor activities including hiking, mountain bike rides, horse riding and climbing. The park is just 45 minutes’ drive from some of the best beaches in the Costa de la Luz with its glorious golden sands, Jerez and Gibraltar airports are also just 45 minutes away in the car.

The park is open for 12 months of the year and facilities include a restaurant, bar and coffee bar, swimming pool (June- October), shop with fresh bread daily, launderette, children’s play area and Wi-Fi and pets are welcome. Horse riding is available next door to the park and guided tours of the National Park are available on horseback as well as on foot and by mountain bike. The National park is famous for its cork oak forest, huge variety of plants and ferns, archaeological remains of Neanderthal settlements, many species of wild animals and birds including vultures, polecats, otters and Iberian lynx – and on a good day you can see Africa on the horizon. There are opportunities for climbing, hiking, trecking and walking as well as horse riding.

The nearby town of Alcalá de los Gazules with its whitewashed walls and steep streets opening onto large squares has several butchers, greengrocers, bakers and fishmongers, pharmacy, clothes shops, bank, bars and restaurants and a fresh produce market twice a week. Not to be missed are the annual carnival, annual fiesta and annual music festival. The park is just over an hour’s drive from the picturesque and lively Andalucia coastal town of El Porto de Santa Maria – situated on the Costa de la Luz and 20 minutes across the bay from Cádiz – there are 22km of Atlantic coastline around the town – with 8 beaches of fine golden sand.

The town is renowned for its great food and wines – there are many tapas bars and restaurants around the harbour and you can visit the local Bodegas to sample the local sherry or fino. Just across the bay the city of Cádiz stands on a peninsula. Originally a Phoenician trading post – the city is famous for its picturesque charm narrow cobbled streets opening onto small squares. Worth a visit are the city’s cathedral and the churches of Santa Cruz San Felipe Nevi and La Santa Cueva which is home to several paintings by Goya. Gibraltar – with lush greenery, lovely beaches, a labyrinth of underground passageways and Barbary apes is less than 45 minutes’ drive from the park.

2) What does a viewing trip include?
Viewing of development at your leisure and tour of local area.

3) How much deposit is required?
10% deposit secures your mobile home. For special offers the remaining balance is due 28 days from invoice date.

4) Do I lose my deposit?
Your deposit will be refunded in full once we have re-sold your reserved mobile home and/or plot, less any expenses that may be incurred by ourselves.

5) What is included in the price?
Furnished mobile home sited and connected on to your own plot.

Compulsory service fee: 250€ – 350€ per month (depending on plot size).

Up to 15 years – the condition of mobile home and plot must be well maintained.

Yes, we can advertise your mobile home for sale on our website, please click here to view our mobile home resale service. Subletting is not permitted.

10) What facilities are available on site?
The park has a swimming pool (open June-October), bar, restaurant, shop (fresh bread daily), laundrette, children’s play area and a sports area.

11) What facilities are nearby?
The nearby town has several butchers, greengrocers, bakers and fishmongers, a pharmacy, clothes shops, bank, bars and restaurants and a fresh produce market twice a week.
Facilities for horse riding, climbing, walking and mountain biking are in the National Park nearby.

12) Would I need to hire a car whilst over there?
A car is recommended – there is a bus service from the nearby town (8€ taxi fare) and there are 4 buses a day from Seville, Jerez, Cadiz and Algeciras – the nearest railway stations are at Jerez and Aldeciras.

13) How far are the nearest golf courses and beaches situated?
The nearest golf course is 20 kms from the park. The park is only 40 minutes’ drive from the coasts of Cádiz and La Linea.

14) How far is the site from the nearest airport?
The park is 45 minutes’ drive from Jerez and Gibraltar airports.

15) What is the weather like?
The climate is warm and temperate. The winter months are much rainier than the summer months and the temperature here averages 16.8 °C.

16) Are pets allowed on site?
Yes pets are allowed.

17) How long is the site open for and how long can I stay here for?
The park is open 12 months of the year. Mobile home owners can stay at the park for up to a maximum of 8 months – after which a break away from the park for a minimum of 24 hours is necessary before a further stay.

18) Does all work on plots have to be done by site owners?
Residents can work on their plots keeping within the uniform of the park and with the prior agreement of the manager of the park – who can supply sheds and storage.

Arrange a Viewing

General Information

We have 2 options available on this mobile home park. Option 1 – 2 nights accommodation in a hotel with a tour of the park, the viewing of mobile homes (where available), tour of local area and possible collection from Gibraltar airport. Alternatively, option 2 – you can make an appointment to be shown around the park and the homes available during a day visit.

Please note: Brand new mobile homes are not already sited on the mobile home park, these models must be viewed in the UK either prior to, or after your park visit. Please call us if you are interested in viewing a new mobile home, we will locate your requested make/model of home on a showground in the UK, trying to provide a location as close to you as we possibly can. Any resale mobile homes we may have listed on the website are situated on the park and will be available to view with your appointment.

Viewing trip costs will be refunded up to a maximum of £150 if you proceed to purchase a brand new mobile home (excludes pre-owned resale homes). Your accommodation invoice or flight receipt will be required for the credit adjustment and will be shown as a credit on your final invoice. The cost is not redeemable in conjunction with any other special offer, price reduction, discounts or promotions.

Overnight Stays

Your viewing trip starts when you meet up with our customer service team at Gibraltar airport or at your local hotel where you can check-in and make the arrangements to view the park and the local area. You will now be able to relax for the rest of the day/evening. If required our team can inform you of the local area, the location of amenities and restaurants and answer any initial questions you may have.

The next day they will show you around the site and answer any further questions you may have. You may then want to take a walk around the national park, explore surrounding towns and villages, take a drive around the local area or visit some of the local attractions. If you would like to take a drive and explore yourself then our team will always be on hand for advice, directions and any other information you may require.

That night you get to relax in your hotel again before heading back to the airport for your return flight home. You may wish to return to the park the following day for a final look before flying back, this is fine and our team will be available to take you back for a second look.

Viewing Trips

You contact our office with your planned travel arrangements and day of arrival with an approximate time for when you would like to view the park. We then make the arrangement for you to come and view the park and homes (where applicable). Unfortunately an appointment is necessary to view the park as this is a residential style community and we like to keep disruption to home owners to a minimum.

We do not employ high pressure sales teams and at no time during the visit will you be under any pressure or obligation to purchase. We believe that the product, once seen sells itself and if you are interested, you will contact us to complete the purchase. We will then ensure that you are given our full assistance and guide you through your purchase if required.

Your travel arrangements are booked in conjunction with our UK office subject to availability. This will be coordinated with our customer service team in Spain. We can give friendly advice and help about where and how to book your flights and car hire if required; we will arrange and reserve your accommodation (Usually payable locally on arrival at the hotel). It may be possible for us to collect and return you to Gibraltar airport.
