Welcome to our lovely quiet little park in the Finistère department of Brittany. The park is surrounded by green countryside, woods and rivers full of various fish and is within walking distance of the local town. The park is just 15 minutes’ drive from the picturesque village of Pont Aven – famous for its association with the post-impressionist painter Paul Gaugin and the park is approximately 2 hours’ drive from Rennes airport and 2½ hours’ drive from St. Malo Ferry Port.
This delightful park is English owned and open 12 months of the year. The park facilities are seasonal and include a bar, shop, laundrette and playground. The local town is just a 1km walk (on a surfaced footpath) from the park and the town has the advantages of shops, restaurants, bars, cafes, boulangeries, banks, post office, train station, tourist information office and a market on Wednesday mornings. There are local opportunities for fishing, diving, cycling, walking and horse riding.
The park is located midway between Quimper and Lorient and ideally situated for exploring beautiful Brittany. The fabulous town and port of Pont Aven is just a short 15 minute drive away –the famous artist Paul Gauguin first arrived here in 1886 fell in love with the town and over the next 12 years he visited many times and created many of his famous works in the countryside around the pretty tidal harbour. Enthusiasts of Gauguin will also want to visit the small Chapel of Tremalo just outside Pont-Aven to see the wooden cross that inspired Gauguin to paint The Yellow Christ, one of his most famous paintings, and is surprisingly similar to the painting. The town has lovely riverside walks, shops and restaurants, museum and numerous art galleries – and a great reputation for its butter biscuits (galettes). The area around Pont-Aven is as much of an attraction as the town itself as the valley around the town is also very picturesque with the river providing a fantastic backdrop to the tree covered slopes.
Carnac is just an hour’s drive from the park and is known throughout the world for its unique rows of ancient standing stones – around 3,000 aligned megaliths dating from 4000BC. The Museum of Prehistory has one of Europe’s finest collections of prehistoric objects that have been unearthed in the area and in the centre of the town is Église St-Cornély, a lovely 17th-century church named after the patron saint of cattle. Carnac-Plage has five sheltered sandy beaches, which are backed by attractive 19th-century villas and pine trees. The 1.2 mile (2km)-long Grande Plage is popular with families as it’s supervised in summer and has two children’s clubs. Légenèse and Ty Bihan are smaller beaches and St-Colomban beach is the place for wind and kite-surfers.

10) What facilities are available on site?
The facilities on the park are seasonal and include a bar, shop, laundrette and play areas.
11) What facilities are nearby?
The park is within easy walking distance of the nearest village which has banks, shops, restaurants and bars. Fishing, diving, walking and horse riding are available nearby.
12) Would I need to hire a car whilst over there?
It would be advisable to have the use of a car. There is a train station in the local town but journeys to Rennes and Nantes airport will involve at least one change (2 changes to St Malo by train). The trip to Quimper by train from the local village will take just under 40 minutes. There is also a local bus service with a twice daily service to Quimperle.
13) How far are the nearest golf courses and beaches situated?
The nearest golf course is 20 km from the park and Rospico is the nearest beach just 20km from the park.
14) How far is the site from the nearest airport?
Rennes Airport is approximately 180km from the park and Nantes Airport is just over 200km from the park.
15) What is the weather like?
The average annual maximum temperature in the area is: 57.2° Fahrenheit (14.0° Celsius) and the average annual minimum temperature is: 44.6° Fahrenheit (7.0° Celsius).
On average the warmest and driest month of the year month is July and December is the coldest and wettest month of the year.
16) Are pets allowed on site?
Pets are allowed but must be on a lead and not foul any part of the park.
17) How long is the site open for and how long can I stay here for?
The park is open for 12 months of the year and owners may stay for as long as they wish
18) Does all work on plots have to be done by site owners?
Mobile home owners can work on their own plot and garden and a shed or storage area can be erected – but plans must be authorised by the park owner.
Arrange a Viewing
We have 2 options available on this mobile home park. Option 1 – 2 nights accommodation in a hotel with a tour of the park, the viewing of mobile homes (where available) and tour of local area. Alternatively, option 2 – you can make an appointment to be shown around the park and the homes available during a day visit.
Please note: Brand new mobile homes are not already sited on the mobile home park, these models must be viewed in the UK either prior to, or after your park visit. Please call us if you are interested in viewing a new mobile home, we will locate your requested make/model of home on a showground in the UK, trying to provide a location as close to you as we possibly can. Any resale mobile homes we may have listed on the website are situated on the park and will be available to view with your appointment.
Viewing trip costs will be refunded up to a maximum of £150 if you proceed to purchase a brand new mobile home (excludes pre-owned resale homes). Your accommodation invoice or flight receipt will be required for the credit adjustment and will be shown as a credit on your final invoice. The cost is not redeemable in conjunction with any other special offer, price reduction, discounts or promotions.
Your viewing trip starts when you meet up with our customer service team in Pont-Aven or at your hotel inPont-Aven where you can check-in and make the arrangements to view the park and the local area the following day. You will now be able to relax for the rest of the day/evening. If required our team can inform you of the local area, the location of amenities, restaurants and answer any initial questions you may have.
The next day they will show you around the site and answer any further questions you may have. You may then want to explore the surrounding towns and villages, take a drive around the local area or visit some of the local attractions. If you would like to take a drive and explore yourself then our team will always be on hand for advice, directions and any other information you may require.
That night you get to relax in your hotel again, you may wish to return to the park the following day for a final look before returning home, this is fine and our team will be available to take you back for a second look.
You contact our office with your planned travel arrangements and day of arrival with an approximate time for when you would like to view the park. We then make the arrangement for you to come and view the park and homes (where applicable). Unfortunately an appointment is necessary to view the park as this is a residential style community and we like to keep disruption to home owners to a minimum. We do not employ high pressure sales teams and at no time during the visit will you be under any pressure or obligation to purchase. We believe that the product, once seen sells itself and if you are interested, you will contact us to complete the purchase. We will then ensure that you are given our full assistance and guide you through your purchase if required.
If required our team can inform you of the local area, the location of amenities, restaurants etc. and answer any initial questions you may have, we can also recommend a local hotel if you wish to stay local to the park for a couple of nights.
Your travel arrangements are booked in conjunction with our UK office subject to availability. This will be coordinated with our customer service team in France. We can give friendly advice and help about where and how to book your ferries / flights and car hire if required; we will arrange and reserve your accommodation.
