This is a most attractive, peaceful, family owned residential park whose English owners pride themselves on offering a very personal service to their mobile home owners – the Parc is set by a large freshwater lake, with many woodland areas in the grounds and we are on the border between the sought after Dordogne & the Lot , a stunning part of France, covered in vineyards for the local Bergerac wine, fields of sunflowers & medieval hilltop towns (bastides) such as Villeneuve sur Lot, Castillonnes & Montflanquin to name but a few. Their fortifications date back to the Hundred Years War, which was 750 years ago, most remain intact with ancient town centres and cobbled streets.
This is an exclusive PRL Parc in a semi-rural setting, where there are 3 new homes from UK manufacturers ‘Willerby’ and ‘Pemberton’ on show. We have a great selection of spacious plots available with a small selection of plots available for Lodges on the lakeside. Most plots are very spacious with 250 – 300 square metres of ground available and there is the additional advantage that the plots are on mains drainage.
Open 12 months of the year, (Parc Résidentiel de Loisirs, PRL) new owners will be permitted to live there all year round, the park owners also offer a transfer service to & from Bergerac airport (20 minutes’ drive), this means that a car could be left in your absence, for your use once arrived for your stay.
A short 5 minute walk takes you into the nearest medieval town of Villereal which offers local shops (bakers, butchers & local produce), lively bars & restaurants & banking facilities. It has a preserved cobbled centre with an attractive covered market building dating back centuries, which houses a weekly market, with evening markets in the streets from May to the end of September.
The park itself has a restaurant & bar, open all year, with a cosy log fire that greets you at the entrance. There is a badminton/squash court, a small outdoor pool (a new larger, heated pool planned for early 2019) & not forgetting the lake which is fully stocked with bream, carp, pike, black bass, roach & zander – a paradise for fishing enthusiasts, with 24 hour fishing available. The river Dropt that surrounds the park also has trout that can be kept & cooked by those lucky enough to catch them. A small shop is due to open this summer next to the restaurant. The park is completely secure as the park owners have their own house on site, & there are barriers at the entrance. The restaurant is being extended with a covered outdoor terrace with screening, this will be open shortly, for dining outside in the warm evenings. There is a race course near to the park that hosts races throughout the season which is an additional feature to many, there are 8 meetings per year, once a week in July and August. These races are for horse trotting and are held in the evening, a fun time for all ages with a firework display at the end of some of the meetings.
The coast is 3 hours’ drive away but well worth the journey to Arcachon, which is one of the Atlantic beaches famous for their miles of sand, surfing opportunities & the Dune de Pilat, Europe’s highest sand dune, which is close to Arcachon.
The Dordogne is within easy reach – Sarlat, the centre of the area, is only 1 hour in the car – with its weekly market featuring foie gras & truffles, and picturesque ancient streets lined with restaurants & bars. The valley of the Dordogne river has chateaux such as Beynac & Castelnaud to visit, there are 1001 chateaux in total scattered over the department, so no shortage of ideas for your days out in the area.

10) What facilities are available on site?
The park has an outdoor swimming pool (open May to end of September), restaurant & bar open 12 months of the year, children’s play area. Internet is available. A small shop is being planned to open in the near future. A larger heated outdoor pool is planned for Early 2019.
A large well stocked fishing lake is on the park – carp, bream, pike etc
A squash & badminton court is next to the restaurant.
11) What facilities are nearby?
There are opportunities for fishing, walking, hiking, cycling and horse riding in the area and the local town which is surrounded by vineyards has the advantage of good shops, supermarkets, a laundrette hardware and a pharmacy and a weekly market. There are also banks and a number of bars and restaurants. A medieval town centre with cobbled streets & covered market hall. There is a racetrack next to the park which holds regular meetings. Residents have free use of the commune tennis courts which are within two minutes’ walking distance of the park.
12) Would I need to hire a car whilst over there?
Not strictly required as the local town is in 5 minutes’ walking distance – the park offers airport transfers from Bergerac Airport which is 20 minutes away. A car could be left on park, on your plot, during your absences out of France.
13) How far are the nearest golf courses and beaches situated?
The nearest beach is just 3 hours’ drive from the park at Arcachon (Atlantic coast) There are 6 golf courses within 30 km of the park, the nearest is only 17km away.
14) How far is the site from the nearest airport?
The nearest airport is Bergerac Airport – approximately 20 minutes’ drive from the Park.
15) What is the weather like?
The climate here is generally warm and temperate. August is the hottest month of the year with an average temperature of 28 C. and January is the coldest month, with temperatures averaging 9°C, & with the most rainfall. July is the driest month. The average temperature from October to March is 14 C.
16) Are pets allowed on site?
Yes – pets are allowed on the park, as long as they are on a lead.
17) How long is the site open for and how long can I stay here for?
The park is open for 12 months of the year and owners may live on the park, as it is fully residential (PRL – Parc Résidentiel de Loisirs)
18) Does all work on plots have to be done by site owners?
Residents can work on their own plots and gardens – please check your plans with the park owner. A small shed or storage unit can be installed on your plot – but please check with the park owner. The park cuts all grass on the park, including around homes.
Arrange a Viewing
We have 2 options available on this residential mobile home park. Option 1 – 2 nights accommodation in a hotel with a tour of the park, the viewing of mobile homes (where available), tour of local area and possible collection from Bergerac airport. Alternatively, option 2 – you can make an appointment to be shown around the park and the homes available during a day visit.
Please note: Brand new mobile homes are not already sited on the mobile home park, these models must be viewed in the UK either prior to, or after your park visit. Please call us if you are interested in viewing a new mobile home, we will locate your requested make/model of home on a showground in the UK, trying to provide a location as close to you as we possibly can. Any resale mobile homes we may have listed on the website are situated on the park and will be available to view with your appointment.
Viewing trip costs will be refunded up to a maximum of £150 if you proceed to purchase a brand new mobile home (excludes pre-owned resale homes). Your accommodation invoice or flight receipt will be required for the credit adjustment and will be shown as a credit on your final invoice. The cost is not redeemable in conjunction with any other special offer, price reduction, discounts or promotions.
Your viewing trip starts when you meet up with our customer service team at Bergerac airport or at your hotel in Bergerac or Villeréal where you can check-in and make the arrangements to view the park and the local area the following day. You will now be able to relax for the rest of the day/evening. If required our team can inform you of the local area, the location of amenities, restaurants and answer any initial questions you may have.
The next day they will show you around the site and answer any further questions you may have. You may then want to explore the surrounding towns and villages, take a drive around the local area or visit some of the local attractions. If you would like to take a drive and explore yourself then our team will always be on hand for advice, directions and any other information you may require.
That night you get to relax in your hotel again before heading back to the airport for your return flight home. You may wish to return to the park the following day for a final look before flying back, this is fine and our team will be available to take you back for a second look.
You contact our office with your planned travel arrangements and day of arrival with an approximate time for when you would like to view the park. We then make the arrangement for you to come and view the park and homes (where applicable). Unfortunately an appointment is necessary to view the park as this is a residential park and community and we like to keep disruption to home owners to a minimum. We do not employ high pressure sales teams and at no time during the visit will you be under any pressure or obligation to purchase. We believe that the product, once seen sells itself and if you are interested, you will contact us to complete the purchase. We will then ensure that you are given our full assistance and guide you through your purchase if required.
If required our team can inform you of the local area, the location of amenities, restaurants etc. and answer any initial questions you may have, we can also recommend a local hotel if you wish to stay local to the park for a couple of nights.
Your travel arrangements are booked in conjunction with our UK office subject to availability. This will be coordinated with our customer service team in France. We can give friendly advice and help about where and how to book your ferries / flights and car hire if required; we will arrange and reserve your accommodation.
