Caravans in the Sun is pleased to announce the latest mobile home park in the Northern Dordogne area of France. The park is ideally situated at the edge of the Parc Naturel Regional Périgord-Limousin in the heart of the close green valleys of the Périgord Vert with its forests and uncultivated land. The park is approximately a one hour drive from Bergerac Airport and approximately 2 hour’s drive from Bordeaux Airport. The drive to the park from Caen ferryport takes approximately five and a half hours and from Calais the drive will take approximately seven and a half hours.
The park has the advantage of an open air swimming pool, paddling pool for children, bar, restaurant, shop and also has its own 4,000m² fishing lake with carp and roach and visitors can even hire small fishing rods. The nearest swimming lake with its manmade beaches is just 800m from the park and the nearest town is within walking distance and has the advantage of restaurants, banks, shops, supermarkets, hairdressers and a railway station. Fresh produce markets are held here on Tuesday mornings and Saturdays and the busiest weekly market in the region is held on Thursdays a mere 20 minute’s drive away at Excideuil – with its castle, gothic church and 16th century houses.
Historians will enjoy a trip to the Vézère Valley just 67kms away – an area with prehistoric caves and cave paintings and classed as one of the cradles of civilization after 400,000 years of human occupation. Porcelain connoisseurs will relish a trip to Limoges which for over 200 years has thrived as the top producer of hard-paste porcelain china in France – wonderful examples fill the city museums and galleries. One of the most famous tourist destinations in Spain – the visually stunning and sophisticated coastal city of San Sebastian with fabulous architecture, plazas and parks- is less than four and a half hours’ drive from the park.

3) How much deposit is required?
10% deposit secures your mobile home. For special offers the remaining balance is due 28 days from invoice date.

4) Do I lose my deposit?
Your deposit will be refunded in full once we have re-sold your reserved mobile home and/or plot, less any expenses that may be incurred by ourselves.

7) What are the plot sizes?

8) How long can I keep my mobile home on site for?
As long as required, condition of mobile home and plot must be well maintained.

10) What facilities are available on site?
There is a covered and heated swimming pool, paddling pool, bar, restaurant, shop, table-tennis, petanque, billiards and a children’s play area (Some facilities have seasonal opening times) . The park has a 4,000m² fishing lake with carp and roach and visitors can hire small fishing rods
11) What facilities are nearby?
A swimming lake with manmade beaches is just 800m from the park and there are nearby tennis courts and a football stadium. The nearest town just 2 km from the park and has a twice weekly market, shops, bars, restaurants, supermarkets, banks, hairdressers, gym and train station.
12) Would I need to hire a car whilst over there?
A car would be recommended
13) How far are the nearest golf courses and beaches situated?
The park is just 800m from a swimming lake with manmade beaches and the nearest golf course is a 25 minute drive from the park.
14) How far is the site from the nearest airport?
The park is less than a one and a half hour drive from Bergerac Airport and approximately 2 hour’s drive from Bordeaux Airport.
15) What is the weather like?
Summer temperatures usually average in the high 20s – sometimes reaching the mid 30s. Fairly dry but with occasional cold snaps in the winter taking the temperature to -5C and -6C
16) Are pets allowed on site?
Yes pets are allowed
17) How long is the site open for and how long can I stay here for?
The park is open for 12 months of the year so you may visit as often as you wish.
18) Does all work on plots have to be done by site owners?
The site owner’s permission is needed for terraces etc
Arrange a Viewing
We have 2 options available on this mobile home park. Option 1 – 2 nights accommodation in a hotel with a tour of the park, the viewing of mobile homes (where available), tour of local area and possible collection from Bordeaux airport. Alternatively, option 2 – you can make an appointment to be shown around the park and the homes available during a day visit.
Please note: Brand new mobile homes are not already sited on the mobile home park, these models must be viewed in the UK either prior to, or after your park visit. Please call us if you are interested in viewing a new mobile home, we will locate your requested make/model of home on a showground in the UK, trying to provide a location as close to you as we possibly can. Any resale mobile homes we may have listed on the website are situated on the park and will be available to view with your appointment.
Viewing trip costs will be refunded up to a maximum of £150 if you proceed to purchase a brand new mobile home (excludes pre-owned resale homes). Your accommodation invoice or flight receipt will be required for the credit adjustment and will be shown as a credit on your final invoice. The cost is not redeemable in conjunction with any other special offer, price reduction, discounts or promotions.
Your viewing trip starts when you meet up with our customer service team at Bordeaux airport or at your hotel in Périgueux where you can check-in and make the arrangements to view the park and the local area the following day. You will now be able to relax for the rest of the day/evening. If required our team can inform you of the local area, the location of amenities, restaurants and answer any initial questions you may have.
The next day they will show you around the site and answer any further questions you may have. You may then want to explore the surrounding towns and villages, take a drive around the local area or visit some of the local attractions. If you would like to take a drive and explore yourself then our team will always be on hand for advice, directions and any other information you may require.
That night you get to relax in your hotel again before heading back to the airport for your return flight home. You may wish to return to the park the following day for a final look before flying back, this is fine and our team will be available to take you back for a second look.
You contact our office with your planned travel arrangements and day of arrival with an approximate time for when you would like to view the park. We then make the arrangement for you to come and view the park and homes (where applicable). Unfortunately an appointment is necessary to view the park as this is a residential style community and we like to keep disruption to home owners to a minimum. We do not employ high pressure sales teams and at no time during the visit will you be under any pressure or obligation to purchase. We believe that the product, once seen sells itself and if you are interested, you will contact us to complete the purchase. We will then ensure that you are given our full assistance and guide you through your purchase if required.
If required our team can inform you of the local area, the location of amenities, restaurants etc. and answer any initial questions you may have, we can also recommend a local hotel if you wish to stay local to the park for a couple of nights.
Your travel arrangements are booked in conjunction with our UK office subject to availability. This will be coordinated with our customer service team in France. We can give friendly advice and help about where and how to book your ferries / flights and car hire if required; we will arrange and reserve your accommodation.
