This exciting new mobile home development ‘Creta Camping’ in Crete is situated in Kato Gouves and is only a short drive from Heraklion airport and ferry port. The current campsite is situated directly across the road from the sea and our first few mobile homes here in Crete will have direct front-line Sea views.
In Kato Gouves, you will find a selection of fabulous beaches to satisfy every preference and a little further along the coast you will discover a few secluded rocky areas that offer a little more privacy. The larger, sandy beaches have sun loungers and parasols along with smooth seas to swim in, perfect for a very relaxing holiday or longer stay. The site is open for 12 months of the year so you can maximise your leisure time by visiting as often as you wish.
The seafront strip at Kato Gouves has several bars and supermarkets, the main shopping streets run up a gentle hill winding up towards the main road for a few hundred metres, there is an excellent choice of restaurants to eat in offering great value and choice and a selection of tourist shops to look around. A place worth visiting is the beachside church of Saint Constantine and Helen and the Ruin of Ceramics Workshop in the Minoan era. Additionally, you can visit the cave of Agia Paraskevi and the upper village Gouves, with the traditional streets and churches, all within easy reach of the site.
This small campsite ‘Creta Camping’ has a choice of plots available for mobiles homes; these are either set amongst the olive trees or a small selection have sea views. The site is ideally located on the seafront, the site provides an enjoyable Greek experience with a family run Taverna, mini market with fresh bread daily, beach bar, laundry facilities and children’s play area. Owners are welcome to sublet their homes here using the site’s reception which offers a management service to deal with arrivals, departures, linen, gas, security deposit, meter reading, cleaning etc.
Recommendation – Due to the proximity to the sea we recommend the upgrade from the standard aluminium cladding to hard vinyl cladding and to upgrade to a fully galvanised chassis. Additional cost of these products is approximately £3,000 on top of the advertised price, we do not enforce this, it is purely a recommendation but this is the purchasers choice entirely.

Q) What does a viewing trip include?
Viewing of development at your leisure and tour of local area.
In the case of a pre-owned sited home, 10% initial holding deposit will secure the home for a maximum 14-day holding period, the balance due within 28 days.

Q) Do I lose my deposit?
A 10% holding deposit can be placed on any home, the deposit will be fully refundable if the home is viewed and a decision made within a 14 day period (or longer if agreed in advance) and no unreasonable costs have been accrued by the company.
In the case of a plot reservation and new home order, you may cancel at any time before the pre agreed period lapses (60% payment). The £1,000 plot deposit is not refundable.

The site has a restaurant, shop, beach bar, children’s play area, shower facilities, sea views.
Q) What facilities are nearby?
There are shops, supermarkets, bars, restaurants, banks and miles of beaches along with places of interest such as churches, caves and marina. Organised trips / tours are available.
Q) Would I need to hire a car whilst over there?
Not necessarily, you can walk to the local town within 30 minutes, there is a bus stop approximately 15 minutes walk from the park, and this means you can get the bus to the airport.
Q) How far are the nearest golf courses and beaches situated?
The only 18-hole golf course in Crete is within 15 minutes’ drive from the park (10km) at Crete Golf Club. Crete Golf Club is a championship course, one of the most impressive courses of the Mediterranean, holding a unique challenge and a pleasant experience for both golf players and visitors all year round. The site is located on the sea front so you have the ocean at your doorstep; sandy beaches are located all along the coast from here.
Q) How far is the site from the nearest airport?
Heraklion airport is approximately 20 minutes’ drive away, approximately 15km.
Q) What is the weather like?
Located on the Northern coast of the island enjoying a typical Mediterranean climate, long, hot, dry summers, mild winters and relatively short seasons of autumn and spring. The pleasant climate of Crete provides sunshine for more than 2800 hours per year.
Q) Are pets allowed on site?
Yes pets are allowed, dogs must be kept on a lead.
Q) How long is the site open for and how long can I stay here for?
The park is open for 12 months of the year so you may visit as often as you wish as stay for as long as you wish.
Q) Does all work on plots have to be done by site owners?
Mobile home owners can create and maintain their own garden area within their plot (Plans must be approved by reception prior to work being carried out). Terraces can be built /supplied; we can assist you in doing this if required. Sheds and storage boxes are also permitted.
Arrange a Viewing
Your viewing trips will start when we meet you at either Heraklion or Chania airport, your trip will be a 2 nights and 3 days stay in local accommodation within walking distance to the site and all the local amenities, stays of longer periods can be arranged if you wish at approximately £60 per night per couple.
Viewing trip costs will be refunded up to a maximum of £150 if you proceed to purchase a brand new mobile home (excludes pre-owned resale homes). Your accommodation invoice or flight receipt will be required for the credit adjustment and will be shown as a credit on your final invoice. The cost is not redeemable in conjunction with any other special offer, price reduction, discounts or promotions.
You contact our office with your planned travel arrangements and day of arrival with an approximate time for when you would like to view the park. We then make the arrangement for you to come and view the park and homes (where applicable). Unfortunately an appointment is necessary to view the park as this is a residential style community and we like to keep disruption to home owners to a minimum. We do not employ high pressure sales teams and at no time during the visit will you be under any pressure or obligation to purchase. We believe that the product, once seen sells itself and if you are interested, you will contact us to complete the purchase. We will then ensure that you are given our full assistance and guide you through your purchase if required.
