In February, we sent Bambi Dhami off to Tuscany to explore all of the exciting things that Italy has to offer, as well as to visit our mobile home park, Toscana Holiday Village.
She started with a flight to the nearest airport, which was Pisa and from there hired a car and drove on over the beautiful Toscana Holiday Village.
Toscana Holiday Village
For those who don’t know, Toscana Holiday Village is a beautiful mobile home, holiday park and campground in the countryside of Tuscany. Visitors can rent mobile homes, bring their own camping gear and camper vans, or hire glamping tents. You’ll also find on-site a bar and restaurant, a swimming pool and a private beach.
Bambi chose to stay in one of the cosy mobile homes; the weather in Italy during February is fairly mild, between 10-16 degrees celsius.
There was also plenty of time to devour some of the delicious local cuisines in the on-site restaurant, and it wouldn’t be a full Italian experience if you didn’t try the pasta!
Carnival Parade in Viareggio
On February 19th Bambi and her travelling companion hopped on a 40 train ride to the beautiful beach town of Viareggio, where they watched the mind-blowing carnival parade, featuring some fantastic floats, from a giant gorilla to a clown. It was a spectacular display that we would recommend to anyone wishing to visit Toscana and Viareggio. View the video on Bambi’s TikTok – HERE
The Leaning Tower of Pisa
When in Pisa, Italy, the number one attraction is, of course, The Leaning Tower of Pisa, so Bambi and co went off to visit it and see some of the extraordinary Italian architecture. Did you know that The Leaning Tower of Pisa was constructed in 1173 and leans at a 4-degree angle due to poor foundations?
